Volunteer with HUP
Like many other non-profits, HUP lacks expertise in technology, management, and many other areas. You can volunteer with HUP by helping out with web-designing, fund-raising, board responsibilities, ad/video production, or anything that you’re skilled in. If your employer has a volunteer matching donation program, we ask you to please take advantage of that. For example, Microsoft donates $17 for every hour volunteered with HUP or DCI. So if you are a Microsoft employee and you spend 10 hours helping us out with the website, that’s $170 for HUP or the cost of blood tests for 85 people who do not have access to healthcare. If you are interested in volunteering, contact us at info@ProjectHealthcare.org and we will work with you to ensure that we use your unique skillset.
Make a trip to the clinic
If you want an experience of a lifetime, HUP through DCI provides great volunteering opportunity at the clinic. Throughout this year, we had more than 10 people from the U.S. taking a trip to Bangladesh and visiting the clinic and the surrounding slums in person. You can view some pictures from the visit in our photo gallery section. We have two more volunteers scheduled to visit the clinic and volunteer over there for two weeks in December. Taking a trip to the clinic could be a great experience for you and your family, not only because of the new place, people, and culture you get to experience, but also for the eye-opening picture of the living conditions of the people who are not as fortunate as some of us. Spread the word
If you cannot donate money or time, you can still help by simply spreading the word to your friends and family. Maybe someone you know would be interested in donating time or money. You can also show us your support by visiting the Facebook page at www.facebook.com/ProjectHealthcare and asking others to view our page also. The page is open to public and one does not need to be a Facebook member to view the page. However, if you are a member, you can show your support and increase awareness to others by simply ‘liking’ the Facebook page. You can also share the videos or the photo albums on your Facebook profile so that others can learn about the project.
